The Dr. Kartikay Saini Academic Resource Centre
The Dr. Kartikay Saini Academic Resource Centre is the intellectual hub of Scottish High International School and plays a vital role in enriching the school's academic programme. Designed as a modern learning space, the library encourages students to explore knowledge beyond the classroom while fostering independent learning, creativity, and critical thinking.
Located in a dedicated, fully air-conditioned block, the Academic Resource Centre provides a welcoming environment where students and staff can read, research, collaborate, and discover new perspectives across a wide range of subjects.
A Modern Learning Resource Centre
The library is equipped with LIBSYS, a high-profile library automation software that enables efficient cataloguing and easy access to resources. All library transactions are fully automated using barcode technology, ensuring a seamless borrowing and return process.
To enhance accessibility, the Academic Resource Centre follows the Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC) system and provides an Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC), allowing users to search and locate resources quickly. The library also follows an Open Access System, empowering students and staff to independently browse and select books based on their interests and academic needs.
An Extensive Collection of Resources
The Academic Resource Centre houses a carefully curated collection of over 57,000 print books, with the collection continuing to grow each year. The library offers an extensive range of learning resources, including:
- Subject-specific books
- Fiction and non-fiction
- Encyclopaedias and reference books
- Journals and magazines
- Academic resources for competitive examinations
Every resource is thoughtfully selected to support classroom learning, independent research, and the holistic intellectual development of students across all grade levels.
