A special highlight was the collaboration between our Grade 12 students and the younger learners, where seniors mentored, guided, and inspired them throughout the activities. This exchange not only strengthened bonds across grades but also reinforced the importance of shared responsibility towards our environment.

The meeting commenced with an engaging address by Dr. Cdr. Kartikay Saini, Chairman of Scottish High International School, setting an inviting tone and reflecting on the power of collaboration in the pursuit of excellence.

This was followed by a captivating fusion classical dance performance by the students, and an energetic, inclusive dance, featuring students with additional needs, setting the tone for a day of creativity and collaboration. Additionally, the young Highlanders presented their award-winning DeNew pitch, which garnered significant attention at the JA Asia Pacific Company of the Year Finals 2026 held in Seoul, South Korea.

Ms. Vanita Uppal, OBE, Director of The British School, New Delhi, expressed her appreciation for the students’ efforts and the school’s exceptional hospitality. The gathering was enriched by the presence of distinguished leaders, including Capt. Rohit Sen Bajaj, Mr. Sameer Arora, Ms. Bakhtawar Saini, along with other visionary IB Heads.

Dr. Cdr. Kartikay Saini, Executive Committee Member of the IB Heads Association of India and South Asia, presented a thorough overview of the previous meeting’s proceedings and presented the list of newly appointed Executive Committee members. 

Further, Dr. Saini took an insightful session on design for neurodiversity and access arrangements. He commenced the session with a brief video that established the context for inclusive education within IB schools.

He discussed the significance of well-structured access arrangements in supporting the diverse needs of learners. Furthermore, Dr. Saini emphasised the essential role of Heads of Schools in cultivating an inclusive culture, ensuring effective implementation of policies, and aligning institutional practices with the IB Access and Inclusion Policy. He further connected the Access and Inclusion Policy, Adverse Circumstances Policy, and the IB Assessments Procedures (2026), highlighting their collective role in ensuring equity, appropriate support, and fairness in assessment.

Later, through a video presentation, Dr. Cdr. Kartikay Saini highlighted key updates from the IB Global Conference held in Mumbai. For those who had attended the conference, it served as a reflective opportunity to revisit key moments, while others gained valuable insights into the discussions and experiences from the event.

Dr. Saini formally presented the Annual Calendar for the academic session 2026–27, detailing the key dates and scheduled events for the Association. He emphasised the significant engagements planned throughout the year, culminating in the upcoming Pan-India IB Heads meeting, which is set to take place in February 2027.

Dr. Cdr. Kartikay Saini’s address stood out as an ideal of insight and clarity, drawing from the wealth of deep and extensive experience. His words did more than inform, they inspired a renewed sense of purpose and direction. His vision truly served as a rallying call to action, effectively aligning the agenda with a more robust and focused direction. The overwhelming outpour of appreciation and messages from the Heads highlights Dr. Saini’s commendable engagement as well as the host school’s successful efforts during the meeting.

I am writing to express my sincere appreciation for Ms. Mahalaxmi, the English teacher for Class 7.

In a child’s learning journey, teachers play a crucial role not just in imparting knowledge but in shaping attitudes and confidence. I would like to acknowledge the thoughtful effort Ms. Mahalaxmi puts into her evaluation and feedback.

On 16th March, when the answer sheets were shared, I reviewed them with my son. While going through his English paper, I noticed that along with the score (60/80) there was  an encouraging remark “Good.” More importantly, throughout the paper, wherever there were mistakes, Ms. Mahalaxmi had carefully provided corrections and meaningful comments to guide improvement.

What truly stood out was that her feedback went beyond just marking errors—it provided clear guidance on how to improve. This approach not only helps students correct their mistakes but also develops a constructive outlook towards them. Instead of feeling discouraged, children learn to see mistakes as opportunities to grow, which is an invaluable mindset.

In comparison with other subjects, where feedback was minimal or absent, her effort was particularly noticeable. These seemingly small but thoughtful actions make a significant difference in how a child learns and responds to challenges.

Scottish High International School is a reputed institution, and such thoughtful gestures and constructive feedback are exactly what one hopes to see at a broader level. While schools often focus on identifying mistakes, guidance on improvement makes a lasting difference in a child’s learning journey.

As a parent, I deeply appreciate this level of dedication, which has been consistent throughout the year. It has had a positive impact on my son, helping him better understand his areas of improvement while staying motivated.

I am writing to you as Adira Vig’s mother to share a few words from the heart about Namita Ma’am and the beautiful impact she has had on Class 4E.

Namita Ma’am has been so much more than a teacher to the children. She has guided them with the warmth of a mother while also being a firm, thoughtful mentor who brought out the best in each child. The way she connected with the kids, understood them, encouraged them, and helped them grow academically and emotionally, this has been truly special.

As parents, we felt a deep sense of comfort knowing our children were in such caring and capable hands. Her calm presence, patience, and constant encouragement meant a lot not just to the kids, but to us as well. She built confidence, discipline, and trust in such a natural way.

We will truly miss her, not only as a teacher for the children, but even as parents, we will miss her as a coach and guide. Her warmth and dedication have left a lasting mark on 4E, and we are deeply grateful for everything she has done.

I am writing as the parent of Sutikshna Rao, a student in Grade 5/B , to express my sincere gratitude for the outstanding exhibition held recently at the school. My son actively participated alongside his friends, collaborating to create impressive models that explained the SDG goals. They also performed a lively dance, sang a wonderful song, and enacted an engaging skit, which truly brought the themes to life.

It was heartening to see his classmates contribute similarly with such enthusiasm. The event was impeccably organized, with clear demonstrations through charts across all subjects, showcasing the tremendous hard work put in by the class teacher ( Ms.Vijaya ma’am) and every student. This kind of hands-on learning experience not only boosted their creativity and teamwork but also made learning fun and memorable.

Her class teacher – Aruna Mam has been extremely responsible, always attentive, and very supportive. She consistently motivated the students, kept them engaged, and ensured that all concepts were clearly understood. Her cheerful and encouraging nature made a big difference in the children’s learning experience. 

I would also like to thank her Hindi teacher – Sita Mam, who has been equally dedicated and positive. She made learning enjoyable and helped the students understand the subject very clearly and Ananya was able to score full marks in the subject.
