Scottish High International School is proud to present ‘All About Scottish High: Culture, Curriculum & Community’, a dedicated online information session designed for families who are stepping into our community for the first time and wish to understand, in full, what Scottish High truly stands for.

This is not a formal presentation with answers handed down from a podium. It is a conversation, open, unhurried, and entirely guided by what matters most to you. Our leadership team, educators, and senior staff will come together to offer honest, in-depth insight into the Scottish High experience, and more importantly, to hear from you. No question is too peripheral, no concern too small. If it is on your mind, it belongs in this session.

The session broadly endeavours to cover the full spectrum of what shapes life at Scottish High. From Curriculum and Academics, where we walk you through our learning philosophy, academic frameworks, and the pathways ahead, to Culture and Values that give our school its distinct character and spirit. We will delve into Community and Parent Engagement, exploring how families stay meaningfully connected and play an active role in their child’s journey. School Life and Co-Curricular Opportunities will give you a vivid picture of everything that unfolds beyond the classroom, from sports and the arts to leadership programmes and student initiatives. The session will also include an Open Q&A, where the floor is entirely yours. Every question, however big or small, is not just welcome, it is the very reason this session exists.

This session is open to all parents and guardians who are new to the Scottish High family, whether your child has recently enrolled or you are still in the midst of making that important decision. Come as you are, and come with every question you have been meaning to ask.

Maintaining our 100% pass rate streak, we are pleased to share that our students have secured the International Advanced Diploma in Business Administration.

– Charvi Nagpal & Tisha Saxena have achieved all O (Outstanding) in all 4 subjects with the aggregate of 98.25% marks.

– Ranvijay Singh Saini, Shania Uberoi & Ridhima Tandon have achieved 3 O (Outstanding) and 1 A * with the aggregate of 97.5% marks.

The session began with an interactive icebreaker that encouraged teachers to reflect on common classroom experiences, including managing emotional unpredictability, peer-related challenges, and behavioural concerns. Through guided discussions, teachers explored the developmental factors underlying these behaviours, with a focus on emotional regulation, self-awareness, social development, and impulse control.

Teachers also engaged in activities that highlighted the unique characteristics and needs of students across different middle school grades. The workshop emphasized practical classroom approaches such as maintaining predictable routines, providing clear instructions, offering positive reinforcement, conducting private conversations when necessary, and fostering an inclusive learning environment.

Overall, the workshop reinforced the important role teachers play in shaping students’ social, emotional, and behavioural growth, while providing valuable insights and strategies to create supportive and effective classroom environments.

I would like to sincerely thank you for taking out your valuable time to visit our home as part of the Parent-Teacher Home Connect initiative. It was truly a great pleasure to welcome and serve you.

I genuinely believe this initiative is wonderful, especially for the children. When teachers personally visit and understand how the child lives, their environment, and their daily life, it makes the child feel very special, nurtured, and emotionally connected. These small yet meaningful efforts help children grow stronger and more confident every passing day.

A great example is my son Harihaan. I can clearly see how much he feels valued and encouraged through the love, care, and support he receives from you and the school. From the bottom of my heart, I thank you for all the time, kindness, patience, and dedication you put into my child every single day at school. I can truly see him growing stronger, happier, and better with each passing day.

I am also extremely grateful to the entire SHIS team for creating such a warm, friendly, and positive environment for my child. I truly believe this is the main reason behind my son’s 100% attendance year after year. If this continues, I am sure he may even break all attendance records in the coming years.

Parents were also encouraged to motivate students to actively participate in clubs, competitions, and school activities to promote holistic development.

Academic planning and board examination preparedness were key focus areas, with guidance provided on effective time management, consistent effort, and maintaining a balanced approach to learning. The school also shared its academic achievements and addressed common misconceptions regarding different educational boards and competitive examination eligibility.

An important segment of the orientation focused on digital wellbeing and social media awareness. Parents were guided on managing screen time, promoting online safety, establishing healthy digital habits, and supporting their children in navigating the challenges of the digital world.

Overall, the orientation reflected the school’s commitment to fostering a strong home-school partnership and supporting students in becoming confident, responsible, and future-ready learners.

From electrifying dance moves to soulful music and captivating drama, it was a full-on creative extravaganza, with students from the Initials, Primary, and Senior wings coming together for unforgettable collaborative performances.

This year’s theme, “ONCE UPON A SHOWDOWN,” set the perfect backdrop for a riot of color, expression, and artistic flair. More than just a performance, it was a celebration of community, creativity, and connection; a beautiful way for our youngest Highlanders to find their feet, make new friends, and own the stage!

At Scottish High, each Highlander’s journey is one of a kind and this was just the first step.
