A well-informed citizen plays a crucial role in nation-building.
Keeping this at the core, Scottish High International School joined forces with the Department of Traffic Police Gurgaon to hold a workshop on General Awareness of Traffic Rules for both students and staff members.
The workshop aimed to provide a more detailed understanding of the general traffic rules to ensure the safety and convenience of students. Ms. Indu Bala, Inspector- Department of Traffic Police, Gurgaon, and her team, while offering a more nuanced interpretation on adherence to traffic rules and regulations, also pointed out that underage children are riding mopeds and scootys without parental supervision which not only violates the law but also puts their lives at risk.
The workshop also discussed several critical issues such as domestic violence, and cybercrime, and the pros and cons of social media platforms like WhatsApp, Instagram, etc. The dangers and downsides of being an uninformed user, including misleading information, manipulated and misrepresented content, fake messages, deep fakes, and so on were also highlighted.
It was indeed an informative session for the Highlanders and staff.
