Driven by the recent successes of Indian athletes at the Olympics, particularly in shooting, the school has now hit the bullseye by inaugurating a state-of-the-art shooting range. This unique facility is a step towards nurturing young talent and fostering a deeper interest in the sport, offering students the chance to develop their skills and aspire to represent India on international stages. Scottish High is committed to creating champions who will bring honor to both their school and their country.
The indoor shooting range meets Olympic standards and provides a world-class environment for training for young athletes. This facility will serve as a training base for students (Grades 6 to 12) to enhance both skill and confidence in them.
Safety being the top priority, the academy has put in place strict protocols to ensure a safe and controlled environment for all participants. Since the range is indoors, training sessions remain consistent and are unaffected by weather conditions.
The installation/equipment guarantees the highest quality for the best training experience for the students. The academy will offer training in individual and team event formats, giving young shooters a comprehensive shooting experience. It is worth highlighting that the academy will focus on Olympic events, specifically the 10-meter air rifle and air pistol competitions. Certified and national-level coaches from the Sports Authority of India, supervised and led by Mr. Nitin Poonia, will ensure that high standards and expertise are maintained throughout the training process. The coaching team will guide young aspiring athletes to experience the thrill of precision shooting and receive top-tier guidance that can lead them to professional-level competitions.
