The Scottish High International School successfully conducted the Parent Orientation for Grade VII & VIII, bringing together parents, to mark the beginning of the new academic session. The orientation aimed to familiarize parents with the school’s vision, academic expectations, student support systems, and the developmental needs of middle school learners.
Our HoD Counselling Department, Dr Neha Singh Maurya, conducted an insightful session on Navigating Adolescence. The session focused on helping parents understand the various challenges and transitions students experience during adolescence. Dr Neha shared valuable insights into the physical, emotional, social, and cognitive changes that are common during this stage of development, enabling parents to better understand their child’s behaviour and evolving needs.
Dr Neha further emphasized the importance of creating a supportive and understanding environment both at home and in school. Parents were guided on effective ways to communicate with adolescents, encourage focus amidst increasing distractions, and build healthy routines that support emotional and academic well-being.
The session reinforced the shared responsibility of parents and the school in nurturing confident, responsible, and well-adjusted individuals prepared to thrive both inside and outside the classroom.

We don’t just welcome children into our school – We bring the heart of our school into their homes, strengthening the bond between teachers, students and families.
