
The Inter-Clan Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) Translation Competition for Grade 8 was held on Wednesday, 29th October 2025 with great enthusiasm, which brought together students from all four clans – Anderson, Boyd, Lamont, and MacArthur. The event celebrated the spirit of multilingual learning and gave students a platform to showcase their growing proficiency in French, German, and Spanish. The students competed enthusiastically across three challenging rounds that tested translation accuracy, pronunciation, and contextual understanding. Students translated words, phrases, and short texts with remarkable fluency and confidence, which demonstrated their ability to think in foreign languages. The competition also fostered a sense of teamwork and healthy rivalry among the clans and created an atmosphere of excitement and learning. Judges appreciated the students’ preparation, dedication, and enthusiasm.
