The Group I and II IBDP facilitators organized a vibrant International Festival Showcase on Friday, 17th October 2025 in the School Auditorium, where students from IBDP Year I and IGCSE celebrated the cultural diversity of their target languages. The event aimed to help students explore global traditions while applying their linguistic and research skills creatively.
Each language group presented important festivals from countries where their target language is spoken, highlighting how people celebrate through customs, food, clothing, and music. Spanish students showcased the fiery Las Fallas of Valencia and the colorful Feria de Flores of Medellín. The German group brought the joy of Oktoberfest, while the Hindi students presented the cultural and spiritual significance of Diwali and Durga Puja. The English group illustrated Easter and Samhain, and the French students highlighted La Fête de la Musique and Mardi Gras (Fat Tuesday).
Through lively presentations, cultural displays, and traditional attire, students demonstrated enthusiasm, creativity, and deep cultural understanding. The showcase truly reflected the students’ commitment to being global-minded learners who value intercultural exchange and celebrate the beauty of linguistic diversity.
