The Scottish High Cultural Fiesta held on 10th February in the school auditorium was a lively and engaging reflection of the learning journey of our Highlanders throughout the year. The programme showcased four main disciplines: Western Band, Indian Music Choir, Indian Classical Dance and Western Dance, offering a diverse range of performances for parents and guests.
The school band delivered spirited renditions of Zombie, Don’t Stop Believin’, and Yellow, demonstrating strong coordination, performance skills and stage confidence. The Indian Music Choir presented a thoughtfully prepared medley that combined self-composed pieces with popular Hindi melodies, highlighting creativity and collaboration. The dance performances included energetic Western hip-hop routines along with a fusion of classical Indian dance styles set to Western pop music, which was highly appreciated by the parents.
The enthusiasm continued as parents joyfully participated in a lively Antakshari round and invited on stage at the end of the programme to join a dance session led by the dance teachers. The fiesta concluded on a cheerful and celebratory note, with parents enjoying the performances and actively participating, making it a memorable experience for the entire school community at this International School in Gurgaon.
