
Exploring Food Spoilage and Preservation
Students recently took part in a Collaborative science project where they conducted experiments and researched various food preservation methods. Alongside the scientific work, they discussed the economical, psychological, and social aspects of food spoilage and storage.
Through this project, students demonstrated IB learner profile attributes such as being inquirers, thinkers, and communicators. They developed important Approaches to Learning (ATL) skills like research, critical thinking, and collaboration. The discussions also promoted International mindedness by exploring global food practices and cultural perspectives on preservation.
The project helped students understand the real-world impact of food waste and encouraged them to think responsibly and creatively, fostering both scientific curiosity and social awareness.
