
Scottish High International School, Gurgaon was honoured to host a meaningful Breast Cancer Awareness Session for our female faculty members by Dr. Neeti Leekha Chhabra, Founder- President of Yes to Life, breast cancer survivor, and TEDx speaker; Ms. Madhu Narain, a cancer survivor and patient support volunteer; and Ms. Mona Chawla, educator, counsellor, and oncology caregiver.
The session focused on raising awareness about breast cancer by addressing common myths, highlighting risk factors, recognising early warning signs, and stressing the importance of regular self-examinations, clinical check-ups, and timely screenings. Through their personal journeys and professional experiences, the speakers inspired participants with messages of resilience, hope, and the power of early detection. They also emphasised the importance of emotional support, compassionate caregiving, and creating a community that encourages open conversations about women’s health.
The session concluded with a powerful reminder that awareness, early detection, and timely intervention can save lives.
