Scottish High International School celebrated its ‘Annual Day 2024’ on December 18th, 2024, marking a vibrant showcase of the holistic growth of Highlanders across multiple spheres of life. The event exuded enthusiasm and energy, with active participation from students, academic staff, and support personnel. It was a seamless amalgamation of art, culture, and technology, culminating in an awe-inspiring performance by the Highlanders that captivated the audience.
Titled ‘An Epic Odyssey’, the event featured an enthralling fusion of Western and Indian dance and music. The Highlanders delivered exceptional performances, including soulful song renditions, engaging skit presentations, and beautifully synchronized dance sequences.
The School Principal, Dr. Sanjay Sachdeva, extended a heartfelt welcome to the parents and esteemed dignitaries in his address. He also presented the School Annual Report, highlighting the outstanding achievements of the Highlanders in both academic and co-curricular domains. The report underscored the school’s ability to rise above challenges and earn recognition in various fields, reflecting the resilience and excellence demonstrated throughout the year.
The event also featured the release of the annual school magazine, ‘The Highwriter’, which celebrates the creativity and achievements of the Highlanders. Also, staff members who received accolades at the state and national levels were honored, not only to celebrate their achievements but also to inspire and motivate everyone present, adding to the overall spirit of pride and accomplishment at the event.
The Chairman of the school, Dr. Commander Kartikay Saini, addressed the gathering with an inspiring example from the life of Alessandro “Alex” Zanardi, highlighting his remarkable resilience and determination. He emphasized that Zanardi’s story embodies the spirit of Scottish High, stating, “This is the fabric and chromosome of Scottish High.” Dr. Saini commended the Highlanders for their ability to exceed expectations and overcome challenges with grace and perseverance.
The Annual Day culminated on a high note, leaving an enduring sense of joy and accomplishment among all present. The event was a true testament to the school’s ethos of excellence, creativity, and holistic growth, inspiring students to continue striving for success in all aspects of life.
