Scottish High International School organized a Free Medical Camp on 22nd February 2025 at Udaan School, run by the NGO We Care Foundation in Sector 57.
Led by Dr. Vandana Parti and the school’s medical team, the initiative aimed to provide essential healthcare services to underprivileged students, offering free medical checkups and medicines.
A team of Grade XII students volunteered enthusiastically, assisting in registration, checking vitals, and spreading awareness about nutrition. As anaemia, fatigue, and body pain were common concerns, students educated beneficiaries on iron-rich diets, emphasizing leafy greens, lentils, sprouts, and citrus fruits for better iron absorption.
The camp addressed various health concerns like malnutrition, respiratory issues, and skin disorders, with further guidance for eye checkups and specialized treatments. Beyond providing medical aid, this initiative nurtured a spirit of compassion and social responsibility, leaving a lasting impact on both students and the community.
