Dear Antima,
I am reaching out to express my gratitude for supporting my child’s emotional growth and overall development.
In the past few days, Krisha has expressed her desire to become a kind and considerate human being. She has spoken about how she no longer wants to be like the dump truck in the story of the Little Blue Truck, but instead, she wants to be like the Blue Truck.
Quoting our yesterday’s conversation (I can’t help but feel overwhelmed with gratitude) :
“ Mumma I’m very little. I’m just born recently. I make mistakes. I get angry which leads to outbursts and shouting. But, Antima Ma’am has suggested a few strategies to calm myself down.
To start with we can sit down quietly, do things like drink water, smell a flower and blow a candle or count to ten, or buzz like a bee. “
To add on to the above, Yesterday, during one of my outbursts, she helped me calm down by taking my hand and giving me her water bottle to take a few sips. She encouraged me to try out bee buzzing, and after a while, she asked me how I was feeling and if I felt calmed down.
One significant change I have noticed is how quickly she apologizes when she makes a mistake. I had been trying to teach her this skill for a long time, but with your help, she is developing it well.
I, as a parent, have only one wish for my child, and that is for her to be kind, compassionate, and empathetic to others. I am eternally grateful for your support in helping her become the best version of herself. Thank you once again for everything you are doing for our family. And I’m glad she has you as a mentor.
Warm regards, Tanu Saharan
