]]> Series of Expert talk sessions were organised for the students of Middle and Senior Schools.

University representatives from Ahmedabad University, Ms. Hetal Thakkar; from the University of British Columbia and Plaksha University conducted sessions with the senior school students on university admission requirements, course choices and new age careers.

Sessions focusing on socio-emotional needs of students were organised for the middle school students. Ms. Geetanjali Ahuja, conducted sessions on teamwork and emotional intelligence; Mr. Raman Kaushal, sports faculty, and Ms. Neha Gupta, Economics faculty, conducted sessions on ‘physical and mental fitness’ and ‘fundamentals of banking transactions’ respectively. Social Media & IT Captains, and Ms. Ishita Ralli, alumni and intern, conducted sessions on cyber security. Ms. Harish Lakhotia, parent of Ahaan Lakhotia of Grade VI CS B, conducted an expert talk with grade VIII on ‘Innovation in Technology’, wherein he spoke about the emerging trends in technology.

University representative from Ahmedabad University, Ms. Hetal Thakkar, conducted sessions with the senior school students on the topics ‘New age careers’ and ‘Liberal education’. In these sessions, Ms. Hetal covered the difference between Liberal Arts and Liberal Education and career opportunities that are applicable in today’s era.

Middle School Coordinator, Ms. Geetanjali Ahuja, conducted sessions with the middle school students on the topics ‘teamwork’ and ‘Emotional Intelligence’. Valuable discussions were held with the students on teamwork with the help of videos and activities. Students thoroughly enjoyed these sessions.

]]> Series of Expert talks were organised for the students of Middle and Senior school. A University representative of King’s College London conducted an expert talk with the students of Grades XI and XII, orienting them about the admission process, eligibility criteria, courses offered and focused primarily on personal statement. An expert from Collzy conducted a session with Grade X on IELTS and TOEFL preparation wherein he guided the students about the exam pattern and expectations. Mr. Vipul Gupta, Co-founder and Director of Lens Academy Private Limited, conducted an introductory session with Grade XII on software development.

Representatives from Avishkaar conducted expert talks and hands-on workshops on robotics with the students of Middle School. In these workshops, students got hands-on experience on building a robot and running its functioning using a battery system. These were indeed fun and indulgent sessions for the students.

]]> Expert talk sessions were organized for the students of Middle and Senior School. A representative from Pratham, Mr. Ritesh Jain, conducted a session on scholarships with Grades XI and XII; and a session on summer programmes with Grades IX and X. In these sessions, students were oriented of the various national and international scholarships which they can avail for college admissions. They were also made aware about the conditions and requirements to avail these scholarships. Grades IX and X were oriented about the national and international summer programmes which they can apply for. Eligibility criterias, documents required and other admission requirements were discussed with the students.

Ms. Shivani Mahindru, Social Science Faculty, conducted an expert talk with Grade VII on the ‘G20’ where students learned about the inception of G20, its composition, its aims and objectives and the progress made till now. Ms. Vrinda, English department faculty, conducted a session with Grade VIII on ‘Importance of Oratory Skills’ that will help them in their academic as well as non-academic endeavours.

]]> Series of Expert Talks were organized for the students of Middle and Senior School. Mr. Andy Raeburn, admission officer at Carleton University, conducted a session with the students of Grade XI DP and XII ISC and DP. The session aimed at ‘Digital Dependency’. The speaker spoke about the judicious use of digital networks and its positive as well as negative dependence on college readiness. He also threw light on the admission process, eligibility criterias and fees for admission into Carelton University.

Counselling department conducted sessions with the students of Grades VI and VII on ‘Identifying interests, strengths and skills’. The sessions began with identifying a virtue that students would like to keep alive in their memories throughout the session. They were invited to share the virtues they have thought of. They watched two videos to understand the meaning of strength and its difference from skills. This was followed by two activities. In the first activity, students identified the skills required for the job profile displayed on the projector. This activity strengthened their understanding of the skills. In the second activity, learners created three mind maps, with the help of which they identified their interests, strengths and skills. This activity was followed by reflection in which learners identified a link between the three. This session helped learners in identifying their strengths, which will further help them in knowing their strengths better.

Expert talk on Profile building was also conducted with the students of Grades IX and X by the Counselling department. The session began with a motivational video. Students shared their reflections from the same and learned that everyone has their own pace to cope with the pressure. In the session, learners were made aware of the importance of working on strengthening their overall profile, starting from Grade IX, as per the requirements of university admissions. They were enlightened on the various ways of building and strengthening their profiles. This was indeed an eye opening session for the students.

Learners shared their thoughts during the sessions and clarified doubts wherever required.
