On February 19, 2025, IBDP and IBCP students organized a road safety awareness drive at Scottish High International School as a Group III and CAS collaboration. The event was designed exclusively for initial students along with their parents focussing on key road safety practices during their dispersal time.
Interactive class and parent presentations using vibrant posters engaged the audience, young and mature in understanding essential traffic safety and road rules.
IB students led dynamic demonstrations on safe crossing, responsible pedestrian behavior, and the importance of wearing protective gear.
Presentations for parents included practical tips for ensuring safe pick up and drop routines, sustainable practices of carpooling and safe parking near school. Informative pamphlets were distributed to reinforce key safety messages.
Both children and parents contributed enthusiastically with feedback to the learning experience highlighting the program’s effectiveness.
The initiative successfully promoted a culture of safety and community involvement. It was an enriching experience for DP and CP students that aligned perfectly with their International curriculum. They gained values and skills to add to their portfolio.
An insightful session on university applications was conducted for grade XII parents by Dr. Neha Singh Maurya. The session covered crucial aspects like application deadlines, transcripts, predicted grades, and letters of recommendation. Parents gained valuable guidance on supporting their children through this important transition. Together, we pave the way for future success!
