Hello Mr. Chairman,

My daughter, Tansi Shukla is a student of Pre-Nursey A in your esteemed School and recently there was a showcase of talent presented by students under the guidance of teachers on what the students have learned in the class from teachers. I must tell you that i was thrilled and stunned by the excellent performance of all the students and the way they together were performing various activities.

My daughter has learned a lot after she has joined the school and is definetly gaining the self confidence and learning new things day by day.

This is possible only because of the environment of the school and the special efforts put in by the teachers - Mrs Meera and Mrs Bhavna. A Very Special Thanks to them and all they have done for Tansi is very well appreciated by myself and my wife Rinki.

Let me take this opportunity to give our special regards to Mrs Meera and request you to please forward this mail to her as well.

Dear Mr. Saini

Our son, Akaash R. Parthasarathy, is a student in KG-F at Scottish High.  We wanted to convey the positive experience that we have been having with the school.

We are very happy with Akaash's progress.  He enjoys going to school and talks with enthusiasm about things that happen in school on a regular basis.  The encouragement and positive reinforcement provided by his teacher, Mrs. Veena Puri, is helping in a great way.

The school has a right blend of academics and other activities.  There is also a good mix of Indian and international focus both in terms of academics and culture.

We are very happy that we chose Scottish High.

Thanks.

Best regards,
Vaiji & Shree

Subject: thank you SHIS!

Dear sir/madam,

We want to thank you and acknowldge to you the comfort and a lot of convenience we had because of SHIS thinking differently(from other schools) about school-timing when it was foggy and very cold outside this winter. On my way back from office, I used to be surprised looking at many other very small kids of different schools waiting for their school buses very early in morning time average between 6 am and 7.30 am. It made no sense to me but you have to live with it when the school wants to follow "a tradition". But fortunately You made a difference and took a practical decision to keep changing time as and when required and the priority was the comfort of human bodies so all could perform better. We thank you once again and are sure of same approach in future.
Warm regards,

Dear Sir,

I'd like to acknowledge and sincerely thank Mrs. Meera and Mrs. Bhavna for taking excellent care  of my ward "Vaibhav Sahni" in Prenursery -A.
Apart from boosting his confidence and enabling him to converse fluently in English, they've looked after his health and general wellbeing  in a way much better than myself.
All my apprehensions that Vaibhav's bronchitis might worsen after joining school due to exposure to dust, wind and food with allergens
have been totally unfounded.
On all occassions, his teachers have ensured that Vaibhav participates in all activities in the class without compromising on his health. They've transformed my child from a shy little boy to a confident kid who loves to mingle with new guests,is assertive about his needs and likes to learn and explore new things.
I am very happy with the school, and the effort put into grooming every single child in a gentle manner.
I congratulate you,Sir for having such dedicated teachers working for you.

Dear Sharmila,

My ward Ranvir Singh Rana is a student of Nursery F in your school. On 18 Dec 2009, I attended the Front desk activity in my child's class.

This is to appreciate the wonderful act that was put together by the children and the teacher's. The children very confidently spoke as in show and tell, danced and recited rhymes clearly reflecting that they are being groomed on all aspects that will help develop their personality on the whole. The performance also gave us an insight to their activities and progress in school.

It was a heartwarming experience for me as a parent and I would sincerely like to thank Neeru mam and Esha mam for all the effort.

I would look forward to more such memorable and joyful visits to my child's class.

Thanks and Kind Regards,

Anika

Subject: RE- ADMISSION OF ISHAAN BERRY (CLASS- II-C)

Dear Madame,

This is w.r.t. our request for re- admission of our ward, Ishaan Berry (earlier studying in grade II-C).

Foremost, we as parents feel gratified to you, Scottish High & the Teachers here to have given the right exposure to Ishaan & a perfect learning platform which built in so much confidence in him & enabled him to open up to a world of knowledge in most congenial environment.

In almost two years of tenure that Ishaan was with Scottish high, we as parents did observe numerous positive changes in Ishaan's personality, which made us believe more in the School's study methodology. Ishaan also liked the School a lot & used to look forward to going to School daily.

All this reflected in his performance & this impacted positivelys the feedback received from both class teachers of grade I-C & II-C & also his school report cards, thanks to School's efforts also. He was one of the two sole students selected from all sections of grade I to represent the School in interschool science Competition. Participated in the School assembly on regular basis as he became a very good & confident orator.

In October, we were forced to withdraw our son from your School as Manu's office had confirmed him to handle their Noida branch recently & thus, we decided to shift base there only. As it was impossible for Ishaan to travel daily from Noida to Gurgaon, thus we had to withdraw him from SHIS. He was put mid- term in Step By Step School, Noida. There also, he set a record in the Admission exam (scoring 99 out of 100 marks).

However, Manu's Company scrapped their plan for their expansion plan owing to global recession & we were left in lurch as by that time, we had already withdrawn him from SHIS. Incase the School wishes to confirm this development with Manu's Managing Director, you are most welcome to check this fact.

We are really disheartened to know that the School's seats are all full. We as parents request you sincerely to look into the possibility of taking back Ishaan in the current session as IT'S A MATTER OF HIS FUTURE. We assure you that Ishaan would complete his entire Schooling tenure with Scottish High only.

We are also sure that accomodating Ishaan in grade II would be positive for the school as he has already adjusted to the School's curriculum & being a bright child, he would eventually prove to be an asset for the School.

Moreover, our home / permanent residence is still in Gurgaon only & we would be interested in putting Ishaan back in SHIS only & no other school owing to our faith in this institution. Currently, he is staying with our relative in New Delhi & we both are residing in Gurgaon as our offices are in & around Gurgaon. As Ishaan has to go to his noida school from there & its heartening to inform that he is with us only during weekends, which is very hard for any parent to bear.

We do agree that we did get carried away earlier though & joined temporarily the parents forum but we apologised this move of ours & still do apologise for our action. Hope you understand that Ishaan was a part of SHIS & we would want to continue him to the one & for our action, he should not be facing its brunt in anyway.

We request you to spare some of your valuable time to meet us up with us. Kindly inform us for a time suitable to you so that we can come & meet you up at the School.

OUR REQUEST: IF HE CAN JOIN FROM JANUARY 2010 ONLY OR FROM APRIL 2010 FOR GRADE- III.

We would sincerely appreciate your cooperation in this regard.

Best Regards,

Manu & Yukti Berry

Dear Chairman Sir,

We are very happy with the way school is providing education to our kid (Tanya Wahi class V – D), we can see immense change in her from the time she has joined Scottish High school. We are very lucky to have Teacher’s like Madhu Jain and Seema Malhotra (her IV std teacher) who have helped her come out of her cocoon and to teach her life skills and not only the bookish knowledge.

My daughter has mentioned that teachers teach them to meditate in the class for 2 minutes and then let them focus on new subject which helps them a lot.

I feel if kids can be introduced to some form of meditation which is suitable for them to practice and imbibe in their life will go a long way in this world where kids are coming under lot of pressure from a young age itself and then succumb to the pressure. It could be once a week activity but it will introduce them into this line of knowing self and becoming positive under all circumstances.

Thanks once again for providing such a positive environment for kids to grow and I really appreciate the efforts that you and your team has put in to select the best Teachers for the kids .

As a parent I am blessed to have my son in Scottish High International School.

Sripath ,who is currently studying in Grade VI , has changed schools several times, primarily due to my movement into different
organizations in the initial years. This also gave us the opportunity to closely watch the curriculum's of different school and to monitor
his progress graph.

We as parents, of our only child can vouch for Scottish High since it provides a holistic training which is imperative to equip the students to meet the myriad demands of the growing industry. The application oriented learning instead of rote based, development of soft skills ,research culture, effectively integrating technology and system of continuous assessment instead of exam-oriented system is being met by the school as per the international standards . While other schools follow 'One size fits all', this school seems to meet individual needs of my son, developed critical thinking and nurtured his academic excellence. The core interest of my son has been extra circular activities and the school provided him to show case his talent in creative arts and lawn tennis. He recently won a silver medal in an inter-school tennis tournament which has grown his confidence into multiple folds. We are proud of our son and thank his teachers who make learning an intrinsic experience and inculcate qualities of a good citizenship.

Dear Rupa Mam,

I would like to thank you Rupa Mam for all your efforts for organizing great lectures/ workshops for CIE teachers. At the outset I am highly appreciative of the way you have designed the lectures and learning sessions and shaping up our practical as well as theory sessions.

How can I forget thanking very hard-working Geeta and Rakhi mam who are taking all the pains to satisfy our quest and thirst for knowledge. They are quiet nice and patient with us. They are very efficient teachers and sweet too.

I am highly impressed with the special lectures you arranged for us  by Rajiv Mishra Sir on Special Need Children- Integrated Studies, Mr Ravindra Sir Autism and handwriting. I would not miss the opportunity of requesting you that we want more of these lectures as they have instead of satisfying ignited our urge to know more on these subjects. As they were eye-openers. These are the lectures/ topics which I am sure no other school is giving or providing or not even thinking for their trainee teachers.

Through this e-mail I would also like to thank the management of the school, the way they have created the infrastructure of the school which is perfect for developing various skills of children as well as for the teachers who are coming there for training. All Scottish High students shall have ample opportunity to develop their full potential both academically and in a wide range of artistic and athletic activities in a disciplined and intellectually challenging environment. The entire faculty is very efficient. Library is also quite resourceful. Even the Library- In charge mam is quite helpful to the trainee teachers.

Scottish High International School believes and actually implementing their thought of giving equal opportunities to all children without discrimination and favoritism. Truly according to them every Child is a gift of God. Therefore, it admits, differently privileged children and tries to integrate them with the mainstream under the care of special educators and therapists in a fully equipped Integrated Studies Department. Hats - off to the management.

It's my privilege that I'm associated with this esteemed school.

Thank You Rupa Mam and Scottish High International School!

When they were displayed the Director of the School Mrs Sharan promptly grabbed them and exclaimed "they were so pretty,I shall have them his grandmother called home and said his paper weights had been sold and the money he could put in his piggy bank he promptly replied that the money should be distributed amongst the poor children.

Dear Ms.Sharmila Das

At the outset I am highly appreciative of the way your school has been shaping up my child Rahul Sindhi of class VIII-B . Based on this progressive attitude and a positive environment I would like to put my other child in your school for the next academic session . My Daughter has completed 3 years as on 19th May 2009 and as per the information available on your website she would be eligible for admission to Nursery . I also believe that you give preference to the siblings of the exisiting students .

Apart from the above I would like to request admission for another child for the same session and the same class who hails from my neighbourhood and has been going to the same play school as my daughter . The reason for this request is that both the children could travel to and fro together and would be able to adjust in the school faster . At present they are attending school at L'avenir run by the Shri Aurobindo Society .

I am hopeful that my request would be given some weightage based on my relationship with the school .

I was very glad to see the wonderful job the team led by Mr. Rajiv is doing for the kids in the school. I wish you all luck in your journey of making difference to the life of this children and also hope to see your research centre very soon in the future. Enjoyment and learning should go hand in hand. If children enjoy learning and have supportive relationships with their teachers, they are more likely to engage and achieve high standards. And this has been achieved at KG-E

Subject: Hello!

Dear Ma'am,

Hope this finds you & the rest of the Scottish High family in the best of health & spirits. :-)  This is Anukrit Bhargava. You may not remember me. I studied in SHIS for a very short while (December 2006-January 2007 I believe!), but I had a wonderful time there. I was just browsing through the internet, when it suddenly struck me that it had been a while since I'd checked the school's website. I was expecting to see the same old website, but really, I was in for a very pleasant surprise. I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate the whole design team for developing such a wonderful site. It potrays the true spirits of every highlander to perfection. I remember that when I was there, there were about 400 students. And now there are 1450! Truly a remarkable feat for a school that is so young. This shows the amount of trust and faith that the community has in Scottish High. Even though I'm no longer associated with the school, I still feel proud whenever I hear the mention of Scottish High. It feels great to say that yes, I was a part of that organisation. I'm currently studying at Selaqui World School, in Dehradun. I'm doing the IB Diploma, and am in the first year. That reminds me, heartiest congratulations once again to you & the SHIS family for gaining the status of an " IB World School". I'm sure the school will produce awesome, global citizens who will do the world some good. The school seems to have changed quite a lot since I left. I remember that during the time I was there, the building next to the swimming pool was still under construction. Is the auditorium situated in that building? I'm looking forward to coming and visiting the school soon. It would feel wonderful to meet all the teachers and students I remember, and also the newcomers. I am in regular touch with Mrs. Saini. I miss the school a lot. Hope everyone is doing well. God bless!

Anukrit.

Dear Ms Das,

I really appreciate your kind response. I would like to mention here that my initial request to the esteemed institution was based solely on recommendations from colleagues and internet. Your response has made me an ardent admirer of the institution, as I was not even expecting such effective response. I have had interaction with other schools however this is the best experience I had and therefore my compliments to the School and especially to you.

It would be a privilege for my daughter to be admitted to your institution as I am now confident that she would learn values, more than the general abc. I would request if you can please let me know the eligibility criteria and process for her to be admitted to Nursery, while we would be really grateful if she can join Pre-Nursery.

Thanking you.

Dear Ms.Sharmila,

We have received the circular regarding the H1N1 flu from the school medical advisor. Thanks for the information and we appreciate your efforts in keeping us parents informed about such infections. This makes us deal with the situation better and we know what to avoid and how to minimise the effect. If these regular updates would not come from the school then we would have to spare time and search all over the internet, where you would agree, there are numerous opinions, which at times confuse you as well.

Thanks again and and we look forward to your regular updates.

Although the information is known to all through various sources, yet personally coming from school to each one of us through our children is really appreciated. By doing this you've not only alerted the parents but have also educated the children about this dangerous disease.

Hi Sharmila,

Hope you are well.

The H1N1 flu seems to be creating a major health scare and like most parents we too were worried if our child is safe at school.

Thank you for your feedback on the issue. We do appreciate the guidelines given by the school - especially when they have been written and approved by a doctor. It is also heartening to see our little ones coming home and telling us about preventive care at school. Small things like washing hands, using a handkerchief and covering your mouth when you cough go a long way.

I'm sharing some infomation provided by a friend, her children go to a school in Delhi. You may find some information useful (though the school has already provided similar material). The need of the hour is to educate and to make both parents and children aware.

I would also like to take this opportunity to say that we are really happy with the feedback and remedial action provided by Shaurya's class teacher Ms Shibi Nair and his hindi teacher Ms.Vasudha. It is indeed heartening to see teachers working so selflessly and putting side extra time to encourage our child.

Thanks again,

Hope this finds you well. I write to compliment and thank the school for the hugely improved traffic management system and structured entry in the mornings. Entry and exit from the school is so much smoother and it is wonderful to be welcomed by teachers at the various entrances. Presence of teachers before school begins is an excellent initiative for maintaining order and discipline in the corridors and begins the day for all students on a very positive note.

The new website is also very well structured. But it would be nice to have a section on faculty as earlier, since many of the subject teachers, especially new faculty remain unfamiliar until parent teacher meetings

Have a wonderful day.

Dear Sharmila and Mr Saini.

A very heartfelt thanks to you both for facilitating this highly important process in my and my children's life at this very critical juncture when we move cities and schools. Appreciate this from the bottom of my heart!

Yesterday in that room, I experienced one of the best meetings in my recent life. Not because I haven't had happy or successful meetings in life, but I could clearly see a win win in that meeting. Though I was meeting with you both on a One-2-One for the first time, it felt like we just met up for an evening stroll like friends in a park.

The 'Power to Give' is an immense power Mr Saini and you demonstrated that yesterday. It gives you immense happiness. I can vouch for this - as I felt it very closely in recent times, when I teach a few underprivileged children at home. I feel extremely happy because I give without expecting anything in return.

I could see the happiness on your face and on Sharmila's yesterday as you 'Gave'. May you continue to be 'Powerful' and 'Give More'!

Thank you very much again. I remember our parting pledge. If I am allowed to meet her, I shall personally take the bouquet to Ms Vandana Lulla on behalf of all three of us.

Dear Madam(s) and Sir,
This is Sutharman, father of the three children – Ananth, Tharini and Veera – who had just relocated to Bangalore. This is to express our heartfelt thanks to you and the great school.
As most of you could remember, three years back, we came from Singapore and I was desperately looking for GOOD schools where I could place my kids safely. As I was moving along the road (actually I was heading for Heritage school), I saw this beautiful school and stopped looking for schools immediately. I thought this is the school where I can put my kids safely (and I did that). I have also recommended many parents to place their kids in this beautiful school.
During those beautiful three years, my kids loved the school and enjoyed every moment of it. They got so many friends, they have developed a lot of skills (academic, linguistic and social) and they had the opportunity to learn from fantastic teachers.
We would have loved to continue with this but life has to move on and so we have moved on. Here in Bangalore, we have managed to place our kids in schools (can not compare with SHIS though) and they have started to get along. As we have somehow settled here, it is time for me to say the thanks to you and the foundation.

Thanks a lot for:
- All the sweet memories
- All the help rendered all the while
- The beautiful understanding and the help rendered while we tried to get the TC and the Security Deposit back. Even though we were not actually there, you are so kind enough to understand our situation and act accordingly - managed to send us everything safely through the courier.
- All the care that you have taken for the welfare of our kids.
- The dedicated attention and help from all the teachers especially Dr. Sanjay Sachdev (who tried his best to keep Ananth there so that he can complete his 10th peacefully) and Kakul madam.

Finally I would just like to say this:
Please try to help those parents who have to relocate to other cities in India as much as possible. To be honest, we have suffered a lot here in Bangalore. Perhaps, SHIS should start working with schools in big cities like Chennai, Mumbai and Bangalore in some form/format. Ryan does that! Anyway, please feel free to give my contact details to any parent who requires any form of advice while moving to Bangalore. One more thing, Bangalore schools do not like foreign languages that much except for French!
Thanks a lot once again and my sincere best wishes to you and the foundation!

Thanks and best regards,
Suthar

It was a very good gesture on your and Mrs Jetleys part to show it as a routine shuffling rather than making it obvious for Pranav.Little sweet gestures like these talk high about the school and show the schools ability to handle such sensitive issues.

Pranav is an above average but a very emotional and sensitive child. He takes things to his heart and is an introvert as far as his feeling are concerned. I hope he lives up to our expectations and one day makes his school proud with all your support and right guidance.

It would be nice if you could expose him to inter clan and inter school competitions ,if he deserves. Dear Ma’m/Sir,

First of all, I wish to congratulate the school for the successful affiliation to PYP. When Ria joined the highlander fraternity 3 years ago, it was the promise and the dream that drew us to the school. And till date, each dream is being realized, each promise being fulfilled, each time and on time. And today, as I stand at the doorstep, where my second child, Riti, is stepping on the same threshold (she joins in nursery this year), it’s with great warmth and confidence that we send her to your care, knowing how well she will be nurtured and grow.
We feel really grateful to the management, lead and the teacher staff, who have been carving out Ria into a considerate and sensitive child. In all the 3 years Ria has spent in Scottish High till date, this year has been the most impressionable. I would like to thank her class teacher, Madhulika Ma’am, in particular.   Her involvement and one-to-one personal care is truly beyond the call of duty. Always ready to lend a ear (many a time, I have called her at odd hours), she seems to connect with each child so well. Her care and rare-to-find sincerity, has been really instrumental towards Ria’s holistic growth. She tells the kids that she is their Mama and not Ma’am in school! And oh, how well she practices it!!!
Truly summarizing, I have never encountered a more loving and genuine teacher as Madhulika Ma’am, in my own student life.
I am really looking forward to many more years of togetherness with Scottish High.

I just heard from sasha that they had a drama class . I'm really pleased about this and hope Drama will be continued as a regular weekly activity and not clubbed with dance. I'm sure you agree too that drama is an excellent way of building confidence, public speaking and being creative. Please continue with this activity.

Subject: Scottish High Makes a Difference!!

Dear Mr. Saini,

I would like to congratulate you and your staff for making the school a
real differentiator. The school might be doing great things, but I think the
attitude that your staff has makes it a complete differentiator from the
rest. The students are not treated as just student, but as one's own
kids - I wonder why my daughter always wants to get a 100% attendance and if she
falls sick she misses her teacher more than any one else.

I would especially like to recognize and thank Mrs. Seema Malhotra whose
courteous visit to my house made my daughter feel perfectly fine, when she
was running on 102 fever. Seema and I exchanged words during the last 3
days when Vanshika was not able to go to school and she did mention that she
would be visiting to see 'her little one'. Saying is different from
doing - but she proved me wrong. The children admire her and always wants to be
with her. She is a perfect role model and the way she handles these kids is
highly appreciable.

With every year passing by, I have had a great time with Scottish High and
I wish it all the best in all future endeavors.

Thanks & Regards

Parent of Mridha & Samridh Anand
Dear Mr Saini,
Mridha and Samridh are doing well in school. They are studying in The Hiranandani Foundation School, Powai. Academically the school is excellent, A lot of stress is given to written class work and research. Emphasis is given to good team games and regular drills and march past during the P.E. periods as well.

Inspite of being in such a good school, not a day passes by without the kids not missing and remembering Scottish High. The kids fondly remember all the fun memories of Scottish High. They miss their teachers, friends, interesting activities, excursions, movie shows, meals, etc and the list could go on endlessly. Of course it is not only the kids who miss the school but we as parents also miss the institution a lot. As parents too we feel we were really pampered by the school , for which reason it was so difficult to adjust to the new school initially here in Mumbai. It was truly a nightmare getting the kids admitted in the school. the rude behaviour of the office and administration staff, confusions galore due to lack of proper coordination and information being conveyed. Running in all directions for books, uniforms and conveyance. All these and many more incidents forced us to realise and compare the kids wonderful stay and experiences at Scottish High, right from their admission to their last day at SHIS.

I would like to place on record my deep appreciation for all that SHIS stands for. Scottish high has every right to boast about its world class infrastructure, ever-ready and hardworking staff and above all a highly dedicated and enthusiastic management team. I would like to end with a note of thanks to every member in the Scottich High family for all you have done for our children during there stint in Scottish high. We also wish all the succcess and our deepest good wishes to the continued excellence of SHIS and its Highlanders for a great future ahead.

Warm regards
Sushila Anand
